“New Horizons program keeping retired minds sharp” was the heading of the article by Alec Harvey in Mountain Brook’s “Village Living” https://www.villagelivingonline.com/people/new-horizons-program-keeping-retired-minds-sharp/. Thank you Lee Godchaux, Carol Schulz, Bob Greene, and Kathy and Steve Rostand for participating by email interview with Harvey. On a personal note, Harvey is editorial adviser for student media at Auburn now, but grew up in Birmingham in the Shades Valley Presbyterian Church and worked for the “The Birmingham News”. Some members might remember Harvey’s father, Fletcher Harvey, who was the food critic for the Birmingham News for many years. Several readers have called and expressed interest in New Horizons. We hope they will join us for Winter Term. Thank you Alec Harvey for a great article!
